The challenges

The Knitting Network needed a way to:

  • Promote short-term offers and new collections without overwhelming the homepage

  • Increase visibility of time-limited deals for different product categories

  • Drive engagement and product page visits from both new and returning shoppers

Before Wisepops, The Knitting Network lacked a direct and flexible way to highlight promotions in real time—especially without interfering with the shopping experience.

“The idea to implement a notification feed on our website came from our desire to engage with our customers more effectively. We wanted to provide them with real-time updates on relevant promotions and product news, while also maintaining an unobtrusive browsing experience. To achieve this, we turned to Wisepops and its powerful notification capabilities.”

The winning playbook

Campaigns ran for a few days each and leveraged Wisepops onsite feed to display non-intrusive, clickable messages directly on the site.

1. Promoting a limited-time collection offer (Sunflower yarns)

To boost sales for the Sunflower yarns collection, the team launched a notification linking directly to a dedicated collection page. Within just 3 days, it brought 444 shoppers to the collection and reached an 18% conversion rate.

Those who got interested in the offer and clicked Shop now landed on the page with the collection. From there, they could get more info on each product and buy:

2. Promoting a weekend launch of new arrivals: (Papatya collection)

A short campaign spotlighted a new Papatya yarn release, emphasizing special pricing. The notification hit 26% CTR and brought 174 visitors to the product pages in two days, reaching 11% CVR.

3. Promoting a special premium product deal: organic cotton by Elements

To increase sales of a premium yarn collection, this offer showcased a discounted, high-quality product range and was shown via the feed. It reached 281 shoppers and drove 130 product page visits—a strong result for a niche collection.

Results

In just a few short campaigns, The Knitting Network proved the power of real-time onsite messaging:

  • 748+ shoppers engaged with just three campaigns

  • Up to 26% open rates and 2× higher engagement

  • Increased visibility and urgency for time-sensitive offers

  • A scalable system to repeat and expand these wins in future launches

“Through Wisepops' notification feed, our website has seen improvements in customer engagement, sales and brand identity. Our next objective is to personalise the customer journey to enhance the experience even more by targeting specific audiences.”
