How to use Wisepops for Black Friday and Cyber Monday
1. Grow your VIP "Black Friday early access list"
Creating a VIP "Black Friday early access list" lets you connect with your most loyal customers by giving them priority access to the discounts. In addition to making the subscribers feel valued, you can also accelerate your email list building.

How to create this campaign (popup)
Step 1:
In the template library, choose "Multistep Email and Name Signup 2-Column".
Step 2:
Customize the template by adding a photo with your products as well as the text. Be sure to mention some details, like when exactly the subscribers will receive access.
Step 3:
Go to Step 2 (a button just above the campaign preview). This is a second window that will open when the visitor subscribes. You have the option to ask for the subscriber's name, which could be very helpful for personalizing your emails later.
You can easily remove this step by clicking the three dot menu after Step 2. But I strongly encourage you to leave it—multistep popups like this one convert 45% more visitors than traditional ones!
Step 4:
Set up your campaign to appear five seconds after the visitor lands on your website. Go to Display rules > Trigger > and choose On Landing. Then, select "seconds on page" in the After Delay section and add "5" like this:
Step 5:
Connect your ESP to have the names and emails go straight to your email list.

Consider different campaign formats to build your BFCM waiting list.

Configure the winning or losing slices in Blocks > Slices > Prize, and adjust the probability of winning or losing in the "Chance" column.

Digital advent calendar popups are a powerful holiday conversion tool that combines psychological triggers with festive appeal. By offering daily surprises, these campaigns create a compelling sense of anticipation—and you can easily make such campaigns with Wisepops!

Step 1:
Choose "Popup" and "Email and phone" in the templates library.

Choose the campaign to be displayed on a specific day using the Schedule main menu section. After saving the campaign, duplicate it and prepare a different prize for the next day.

4. Boost sales with AI Wishlist
AI Wishlist (for Shopify) analyzes into data sources like browsing activity, visitor profiles, and sales performance to predict what people want to buy. It automatically shows each visitor the products they're most likely to purchase, based on those they've checked out before.

Install onsite notifications and add AI Wishlist to them.

5. Announce the sale and share a special discount code
The goal of this campaign is to let the visitors know that a) the Black Friday sale has begun and share a discount to take advantage of the offers. It's a good idea to maximize the usage of the discount code, which will help you track conversions.
Example from a Wisepops user:
Vinatis, a wine store, used a popup to convert shoppers who visited their store from mobile phones. The campaign announced the sale and shared the code that needed to be applied to the cart by clicking the button:
The results of this campaign were amazing, as over 5,000 visitors copied the code. That translated into a nice 13.1% CTR.
How to make this campaign:
Step 1:
Choose a template with a copiable discount code from the gallery, such as this one called "Exclusive Coupon with Tab."
Step 2:
Customize the campaign by changing the colors and adding the unique code. Also, decide what will happen when the visitors click "Copy code" by clicking the button in the campaign preview and going to the "Button" column:
Step 3:
In Display rules > Audience, choose Display on mobiles. To show this campaign to mobile visitors only.
Tip:
If you'd like to use unique discounts from your Shopify account, connect Wisepops with Shopify. The "Unique discount code" option will appear in the button settings, letting you use the discounts without leaving Wisepops.
6. Give your VIP customers a special deal
Reward your loyal customers by giving them a special deal or a discount. This campaign would only appear to customers who have bought from you a certain amount of times (that you define yourself) and give you a great opportunity to increase sales.
How to make this campaign
Step 1:
Choose the template called "Black Friday Coupon with Tab and Discount Code" or "Exclusive Coupon with Tab:" (but feel free to select a different one—there's 200+ options for you!)
Step 2:
Customize the template by changing the design to match your website. Describe your offer in the text block and add the discount code.
Step 3:
If you connected your Shopify store, go to Display rules > Advanced. There, you will be able to apply the custom properties automatically set when using Shopify. If you're using other platform than Shopify, you'll also find custom properties there.

7. Let more visitors know about your special offers
You'll probably have many special offers on your store around holidays (BOGOs, free shipping on orders aver X, limited-time discount on a popular product, etc), so you can raise awareness of them by promoting them to your shoppers.
Like here, Blume shares a message about a BOGO deal during the Black Friday sale:

Make a "deal of the hour" where you promote an offer available for one hour only (like this one that offers a discount on one popular item):
How to make this campaign (deal of the hour):
Step 1:
Get a "New Collection Announcement 2-Column" template in the Wisepops library.
Step 2:
Add the image of the product and describe the deal. Add the link to the product's page to the button of the campaign:

Set up this campaign to appear only for one hour on a specific day. Go to Schedule in the main menu and add the day and the time. More on scheduling.

8. Recover abandoned carts with exit campaigns and free shipping reminders
You can prevent cart abandonment with exit intent popups containing additional incentives or reminders about products.

Step 1:
Choose the "Exit Coupon with Discount Code" template.
Step 2:
Customize the design by adding the background image and changing the copy:
Step 3:
Click the button and enable "Apply discount." This way, the discount will be automatically applied to the Shopify checkout:

9. Increase average order value with offers based on cart content
Offer additional products or discounts to customers who have already added items to their cart. This strategy can help increase the average order value by encouraging customers to purchase more products.

10. Let shoppers know the sale ends soon
Create a sense of urgency by reminding shoppers that the sale or special offer is ending soon. This can motivate them to make a purchase before it's too late.
Step 1:
Choose "End of Sale Countdown Coupon with Discount Code" template:
Step 2:
Customize the design and adjust the countdown timer. If there's a discount you'd like to share, keep the code field.
11. Extend the sale for one hour for subscribers only
Create a sense of exclusivity and reward your subscribers by giving them an extra hour to shop the sale. This can increase subscription rates and encourage customers to make a purchase.

Tailor the template to the design of your website: write the copy and add the image. Also, set "Show next step" in the button settings so the campaign displays the code after they click it.
