Your website already receives the traffic. Wisepops is built to convert more of it into direct bookings, and reduce the share going to commission platforms.

Guest segments

Your website has more than one type of guest. Each one needs a different message.

A solo ski tripper, a family looking for a large unit, a returning guest checking if their favorite property is available, and someone who came from Booking.com to compare prices are on the same page at the same time. Each needs something different.

The first-time browser

Arrived through paid social or search. Browses a room or property, then leaves before checking availability.

Opportunity
An exit-intent campaign specific to the room they viewed, framed around the direct booking advantage: rates, perks, or your loyalty program. Catch them before they leave, not after.

The returning guest

Back for a second or third session, evaluating timing or dates. A generic newsletter appeal misses where they are.

Opportunity
A warm re-engagement bar that picks up from where they left off: linking to the last property they viewed and skipping the generic newsletter pitch. Session memory makes this automatic.

The group or family planner

Browsing multiple properties or large units in one session. Standard room messaging does not fit what they are looking for.

Opportunity
A campaign that triggers after they've viewed 3+ property pages: offering a quick recommendation or direct contact with your team. At this point they probably need a conversation, not another room card.

…and 2 or 3 more on your site.

Third-party referrals, loyalty members unaware of your program, international visitors in the wrong context. All show up in the audit.

We'll show you exactly who they are.

How it works

Audit first. Campaigns second.

Every Wisepops engagement starts with a free behavioral audit of your site. No generic templates: the campaigns are built from what your actual guests are doing.

Step 01

Audit

One line of code activates our engine. After 7 days, you get a clear picture of who's on your site, where they drop off, and which campaigns to run first. Free.

  • Guest segments mapped from real session data, not assumed personas
  • Revenue opportunity estimates per identified segment
  • 4 to 6 campaign recommendations ready to build

Step 02

Build

Our strategist builds campaigns around what the audit found and goes live via a single script tag. No code from your team.

  • Popups, bars, embeds, web push, and branching quizzes
  • Designed and launched by our strategist in your brand

FAQs

Common questions from hotel marketing teams.

Does Wisepops work with our booking engine?

Wisepops installs via a single JavaScript tag on your main website: not inside the booking engine. Campaigns fire on your site before guests reach the booking page. If your booking engine is on a separate domain (like WebRez, Mews, or a custom system), Wisepops handles the marketing moment on your side and links guests directly to the relevant booking URL. Most hotel teams are live within a few days of receiving the tag.

Can we manage campaigns across multiple properties?

Yes. Multiple websites are managed from one Wisepops account, up to 1 million page views per month across all properties with no additional cost. Campaigns can be built once and duplicated across properties, or targeted to specific property URLs. If you run 12 properties on one domain and a separate property on another, both are handled from the same dashboard.

What does the free site audit include?

We install a lightweight tracking tag, one line of code, no CMS change required. After 7 days we deliver a full briefing: which guest groups are on your site, what each group is browsing, where reservations and email captures are dropping off, and 4 to 6 campaign recommendations built from your actual data. The audit is free with no engagement required, and the tracker continues running even after the audit is delivered.

How does Wisepops handle attribution?

Revenue is attributed when a guest completes a booking after interacting with a Wisepops campaign: not simply after viewing one. You also get A/B testing with control groups, so you can measure the real lift each campaign produces against a baseline. Your strategist reviews attribution monthly and ties results to your booking calendar, so you're comparing against the right period.

We already run popups. Why would we switch?

The difference is targeting. Generic popups built on time-on-page or page-load triggers show the same message to every guest. Wisepops campaigns are built from a behavioral audit of your site and triggered by specific guest signals: referral source, session count, pages viewed, scroll depth, and custom properties from your booking URLs. A guest arriving from Booking.com sees a rate match message. A returning guest sees a reference to the property they viewed last time. The campaigns are specific, not generic.

Will popups hurt our guest experience or brand perception?

Poorly timed campaigns do: which is why everything starts with a behavioral audit before anything goes live. Nothing shows on page load. Campaigns fire after a guest has demonstrated clear interest: 20 seconds on a room page, a visit from a third-party platform, a second or third session. Frequency rules prevent the same guest from seeing the same campaign repeatedly. The campaigns are designed in your brand by our strategist before going live, and nothing is published without your approval.

What does it cost?

The site audit is free, with no commitment. After the audit, if you want to move forward, the starting engagement is $499 per month for the first three months: this includes our strategist building, launching, and managing campaigns for you, plus a monthly review. After the first three months, annual contracts are available. All plans include up to 1 million page views per month across any number of websites.
